In the next few months Karen and I will be researching our family tree. So we will include any relevant Droylsden genealogical data that we will find.

This year is the 100th anniversary of the Boer War. Droylsden has a special memorial for that war - because the memorial includes the names of all the persons involved from the town, and not just the ones killed in the conflict. The memorial was first found on the Old Town Hall, but was resited to the wall of the Labour Club on Manchester Road.

Droylsden Roll of Honour 1939-1945

I have included the Clayton War Memorial because up till 1890 the district of Clayton was part of Droylsden, so many of the names on the memorial were born in Droylsden originally.
