Tips sent in my Quincy Riddick
If you want a tip, then I've got a good one for you! I know I have already told you about the first legendary bird Articuno. If you have already caught him, let me tell you about the next. The second legendary bird is Zapdos. He can be found in the power plant. To get there, you must start in front of the pokecenter in Cerulean city. Go left, up, and take a right past the nugget bridge. Go through the burglarized house and go out the hole in the back. When you're out of the house, go down and take a left to the bushes. Cut the bush and walk through here like you're going to the rock tunnel. When you're done walking and jumping over the ledges you'll see a patch of grass. Stop in front of the grass and go up. You will see a river. Surf in the river then go left and now go down. It might seem like a long surf, but it's worth it. Now you can get off on the land and there will be a kid ready to fight. Beat him silly and walk up. There will be a sign that reads power plant in bold letters. Walk through the door and go in. There are tons of electric pokemon like magnemite, magneton, level 20 and up pikachus, voltorbs and the rare electabuzz. This is a big place and can get confusing at times, but it isn't too big and I doubt you'll get lost. There are a couple of pokeballs on the floor filled with good items like HP up and rare candies. I suggest you search every inch of the plant to find all of the good items, but be careful. Some of the pokeballs are voltorbs and once you touch them, they want a fight! It's best if you bring a rock or ground pokemon in here so the electric attacks won't hurt you. I brought my dugtrio because his ground attacks (such as dig) are super efective in here. When you come to the end of this big place you will see Zapdos sitting in the middle of the room. I urge you to save your game before you talk to him so if you beat him or he beats you, you can cut the game off and try again. Now take your rock/ground pokemon and weaken Zapdos as much as you can without killing him. Then get a pokemon that knows either sing, or sleep powder and put Zapdos to sleep. Now use as many ultra balls as you can on him. He isn't going without a fight! Once you manage to catch him, he makes pikachu look like a 9 volt battery! He is very useful so teach him something like fly and have fun! Oh yeah, before I forget, let me answer you're other question. Sorry, but I don't have a guide for the red version of the game pokemon. But who needs a guide when you can E-MAIL me! Smell ya later!
