I have just visited a new place that's opened, and it's brilliant!
It's called GHC Computers, and it's on Oldham Road in Ashton, near the Tameside theatre - everyone knows where that is!
Run by a couple of good humoured tecchies called Garry and Stephen, they fix broken computers, build/sell/upgrade them, sell software and upgrade parts and give sound down-to-earth advice on how to do it yourself if you want to try (unless you'd rather the experts dealt with your computer - that way, nowt can go wrong!).
If they don't have it in there and then, they'll order it for you on the spot; prices fluctuate, so they don't have a price list. They say if a shop has got lots in stock then it must be out of date! That way, they can always give you the best and most current price ( a godsend when you look at how quickly prices drop!).
All those who like me bought 1 meg sticks of RAM for an arm and a leg price and now finds them dirt cheap will know what I'm talking about!
Now don't forget, when you bob in to have a nosy round, tell them you saw them mentioned on Bill and Karen's webpage, and tell Steve and Garry we said Hi!
